Ubiquinol is the reduced form of Co-Enzyme Q10

Co-Enzymes are found in your body and support your enzymes to catalyse many important reactions. One of the most important Co-Enzymes in the body is Co-Enzyme-Q10 (CO-Q-10 for short). Co-Q-10 plays a critical role in the cellular ATP (energy) production cycle.  Co-Q-10 is found in every cell of your body and is particularly abundant in organs such as your liver and brain.

Co-Q-10 can be found in foods including oily fish, meat, soya beans and peanuts as well as being available in supplement form. Co-Q-10 supplements are frequently made using a form of Co-Q-10 known as Ubiquinone, which must be converted into Ubiquinol by your body. However, from the age of 30, the body has a harder time converting Ubiquinone into Ubiquinol and this process continues to become less efficient as we age.

Until recently, all Co-Q-10 supplements were made with Ubiquinone, as Ubiquinol was not stable outside of your body. 10 years ago, a uniquely stable Ubiquinol supplement, called KanekaQH™ Ubiquinol, was developed. Take 1 softgel twice per day with food. Do not exceed the recommended intake.
