There are millions of bacteria inside each person, forming an internal world which is often referred to as ‘The Microbiome’. There is a lot of research ongoing about the impact the microbiome may have on the rest of the body. This product has been formulated by Natures Aid nutritionists and is based on the latest scientific research into the many benefits of supporting the Microbiome.

OPTIGUT-C® combines specific good bacteria with inulin fibre, magnesium, prune extract and calcium to support healthy digestion. The role of the supportive nutrients used in this formulation:

Calcium - supports the normal function of digestive enzymes, supporting healthy digestion.
Magnesium - has been included for its ability to support healthy muscle function, including the bowel muscle.
Inulin - forms the base into which the other products are mixed. It is a source of fibre extracted from raw fruits and vegetables. It is pleasant and easy to use. Inulin is also said to act as a food source for the good bacteria in the gut.

ADULTS AND CHILDREN OVER 10: Take 1 teaspoon (4g) per day for 3 days, increasing to 2-3 teaspoons as required.
MAINTENANCE DOSE: 1 teaspoon per day.
CHILDREN AGED 2-10 YEARS: Half a teaspoon (2g) per day for 3 days, increasing to 1 teaspoon (4g) 1-2 times per day if required.
This product may cause a little extra wind in the early stages. This is normal.
Magnesium should be avoided by those with kidney disease and severe heart disease.
